Part One - Indoor Climbing Gym

Essentially an indoor Orientation Class in preparation for the outdoor Part II class (see below). Parts I and II are both required in order to earn the merit badge. At Cliff Dweller, we support the Scouting community’s mission and offer significant discounts to scouts for our programs. Climbing requires more intensive, professional supervision than most activities. Don’t skimp when it comes to your scout’s safety. If you don’t choose Cliff Dweller for climbing training, please go with a qualified guide that your local outdoor retailer recommends. (2.5 Hours)

Part Deux - Out in the Great Outdoors

A Top Rope outdoor adventure designed to help clients be self-sufficient in the outdoor climbing environment. Covers the proper use of webbing and other climbing gear used to construct Top Rope anchors; bouldering; knots (plus the Munter Hitch); descending; weather considerations; environmental ethics; emergency response; and more. Prerequisites: Satisfactory belay skills. (One Full Day)
