BRUCE LEE

This is a way overdue page on my website. When I was a teenager my life revolved around martial arts and working out. Oh, and photography too. Anyway, Bruce Lee was, of course, a  huge inspiration. A hero, even. In college, I had the great privilege of studying Bruce's Jun Fan Gung Fu under one of his students, Joseph Cowles (who had by then adapted it and named his own resultant style "Wu Wei" Gung Fu).

As I look back on those days - which lasted from eighth grade till about my college sophomore year - I realize that I was little more than a martial arts "wanabe," but I do still remember them fondly, and my naturally OCD nature made me quite an armchair expert on the man most people consider the Greatest Martial Artist of All Time ... and who Chuck Norris himself called 'The Strongest Man on Earth, pound-for-pound.' I did a kind of scrapbook tribute to him when I was about 19. I still have it. The highlight of that scrapbook is a note to me written by Bruce's wife, Linda. Click here to see that. I'm not the "fan club" type, but I do recognize greatness when I see it. I'll try to scan the scrap book for this site eventually.
